Another great Manchester Town Hall wedding shoot

My cousin Steve Grogan, a superb wedding photographer in his own right refers me to Natalie and Lee. In short, he already has a booking for the day. Another Manchester Town Hall wedding, following by the reception at Buile Hill in Salford.

I met with Nat and Lee in Whitefield over a pint for a pre-wedding consult. After agreeing on the fee, we chat and, as usual, I got to know what they want. The style, in essence, was definitely a candid, documentary-style.  They also mention having flares at the wedding (and not the type you wear)!

We meet again, 10 months later, and they now have a little girl! Amazing news and such a lovely couple.

Come the day, I have to say, it was so grounding to see Nat, making bottles up for the little one, hair done, makeup done and veil being held in a carrier bag by her husband to be’s daughter.

Shooting at Manchester Town Hall

The wedding took place at Manchester Town Hall, I have to say it’s an amazing place to have the opportunity to photograph and is a stunning location for a Wedding.

I took up my position and waited for Natalie to appear. When she did and they saw each other I witnessed such an outpouring of emotion. They clearly love each other and I have genuinely never seen a couple cry so much, it was lovely and very moving.

Back at Buile Hill, it was decided that they would let of a couple of red flairs. Huge Manchester United fans (that’s cool with me), I shot them as the red mist descended around them and wow what a spectacular show which made for some very unique weddings photos!

As usual I wandered around chatting to the guests and snapping away with my cameras, and the one thing they asked for was for me to stay until the rave hour. Cue 90s house music, glow-sticks and we had a mini rave for an hour. It looked great and it was an absolute blast to be part of it.

After they received their images, Natalie said, “Paul recently photographed my wedding day and the shots are amazing! Paul met with us a number of times before the wedding to ensure our shots were personalised and bespoke to us and our special day and wow were they! If you want amazing documentary style photography then I would not hesitate to recommend Paul to everyone!”

That says it all, I think. 😀
