With our youngest being everso slightly obsessed with everything aircraft related, it's been in the diary to go to Blackpool Airshow.
The request was made to bring the camera so off we went on Saturday in the rain. Amazingly it did clear up and although a few planned shows couldn't happen due to windspeed, we were treated to some incredible displays.
This one is the first from the selection. Shot at 600mm on my Sony A7R mkIV, as Typhoon turned to go vertical. You can just make out the vapor spilling off the wings as it climbed sharply.
Fairly happy with my first go at shooting these machines, especially as I am far more attuned to objects that don't move at all!

Our final stop on this #PicturePerfectRoadTrip is the lovely Clovelly.

It is a unique harbour village with a rich history, having had humans live there since the Iron Age and where in times gone by the only way to get supplies up and down the extremely steep cobbled path was to use donkeys.

It is a must see if you are down in North Devon, with stunning views and picturesque cottages where time seems to have stopped still.

For the next leg of our #PicturePerfectRoadTrip, we head to the south-west of England, to a coastal town with a history in fishing, Teignmouth continues to have an operating port, alongside a successful tourism industry.

Let's take a stop by the Grand Pier with it's classic seaside aesthetic stretching out into the English Channel, or perhaps have a walk down to Back beach, and have a look out to see during sunset.

Whilst we're so close it'd be rude not to swing by and have a look at Salford Quays and all the exciting changes over the last few years.

From the Lowry Arts Centre to the Imperial War Museum it has now become the home of the BBC studios and a media hub for many production companies.

Our past few stops have been scenic areas in the the UK, but our next stop on our #PicturePerfectRoadTrip is Manchester and there's no better day to celebrate this city but on #ManchesterDay2023

From the Northern Quarter to Spinningfields this city is truly Buzzing!
There is so much to see and there's always something happening.
Salford Lads Club is an iconic stop for any fan of The Smiths, or perhaps have a walk by Salford Quays to see the city lit up at night.

Football fan? Take a look at the prints available of both Old Trafford and the Etihad stadium.

End the trip with a visit to John Rylands Library, a beautiful neo-Gothic building dating back to 1900, that is home to a collection of literary treasures.
