The second website design and development project within the group of businesses that Paul’s creative agency Think had been asked to deliver was for Whitehead and Wood.
Working with their in-house designer, and within the established brand style the website was designed and built to showcase their design expertise in the creation of Product Presenters, Swatch Sample Books, Displays & Bespoke Packaging for a huge array of European companies.
The challenge was to photograph the samples without showing any brands they were done for due to disclosure arrangements with their clients.
The samples were shot using a High Key lighting style. This was aimed to limit the lighting ratio the images, resulting in an abundance of light tones and a lack of most shadows. This was coupled with a very narrow depth of field – shooting at f1.4 for most of the images.
The second part of the shoot was to capture some of the manufacturing processes used in the making of the samples onsite in Burnley. You can see the images in action on their website here.
