Yorkshire Dales Landscape Photography Show – Join Me This Autumn in Muker

Yorkshire Dales Photography Show

Yorkshire Dales Landscape Photography Show

I’m thrilled to be exhibiting at the Yorkshire Dales Landscape Photography Show, hosted at The Old School Art Gallery & Craft Centre in Muker, Swaledale. The show runs from Wednesday 3rd September to Friday 31st October 2025, and features an exceptional group of UK landscape photographers.

About My Work

My journey from architectural and urban photography to landscapes has been shaped by nearly 30 years working in design and creative storytelling. When I head into the Yorkshire Dales, I’m always thinking about form, light, mood, and how the image can speak beyond the frame.

I’m showcasing a range of limited-edition prints from limestone pavements at dawn to moody skies and lone trees, crafted with archival materials and thoughtful presentation.

The Talented Line‑Up I’m Sharing the Walls With

It’s an honour to join this talented group, each bringing a unique lens to the Dales:

Joe Cornish – known for decades of large-format landscapes and environmental advocacy, especially around woodland and wild nature.

David Tarn – photographer of the Dales for over thirty years, famous for his Dales calendar and work with the National Park and Millennium Trust.

Lizzie Shepherd – a sensitive and observant photographer who excels in capturing both sweeping vistas and hidden details across nature and landscape.

Anthony Shaughnessy – with a compelling and dynamic style, his work brings Dales scenes to life.

Paul Berriff – sharing his own vision of the Dales through light, landscape and seasonal transformation.

David Speight – West Yorkshire–born, full-time nature and landscape photographer with a deep connection to the Dales, leading workshops and tours nationally.

Paul Clark – specialising in astrophotography and night‑sky images of the Dales, capturing constellations, Milky Way and aurora framed by ancient terrain.

Richard Walls – the organiser of the show and gallery owner, raising a visual voice for Upper Swaledale with fine-tuned compositions and natural history.

Why You Should Visit

Muker is a beautiful base for exploring the upper Dales, and The Old School gallery feels deeply connected to the land being portrayed. It’s a place where we can greet you, share stories behind the work, and help you select a print to bring home.

Whether you’re a print collector, outdoor walker, designer or simply someone who loves pictures and place, a visit here is a sensory act of geography and emotion.

Together, we offer nine different perspectives on the same landscape—each dale reimagined through miles of drystone walls, heather moors, field barns and moody skies.

And the entry is free.

A Personal Invitation

I hope to be able to share my prints in person, exchange ideas, and talk through the stories that each frame holds.

I hope to see you in Muker this autumn.

Muker Meadows, a first visit in wildflower season

For years, Muker Meadows in Swaledale had been on my list of places to photograph, but until recently, I’d never managed to visit at just the right time. This summer, I finally stepped into those meadows at peak wildflower season, and it was every bit as magical as I had hoped — even if the blooms were showing the effects of a dry spell.
