My favourite Manchester wedding photography of 2013-14

As we start the second half of 2015 I thought it would be a good time to reflect over the past 18 months of wedding photos that I’ve taken and try and select my favourite Manchester wedding photographs.

Well, in all honesty, I planned to do this in January - the same with my landscape photographs from 2014 - this I will do I promise. This simple truth is doing a task like writing a blog piece about wedding photography reminds me how much I love looking back at weddings I've been asked to photograph. Things like the amazing memories of the day and the fantastic couples who entrusted me with their wedding photos.

As I have been looking through the weddings I photographed images popped into my head, and soundbites of conversation I overheard during the day. The nervousness of the bride when I first turn up - not of the impending itself day but having a camera pointed at them all day. How friendly and accommodating all the guests are when I try and take a photo of them, or just get out of the shot.

In truth, I feel blessed to have been able to be involved in so many special and personal moments, and have met so many fantastic brides and grooms. I do hope they all enjoy looking back on their wedding photographs as much as I do.

Ok, so I’m explain why I’ve selected my top 5 wedding photos – just know that I selected them from an emotional point of view as well as a photographic perspective. I have only selected 5 because I could really go on and on - this made me really think about it!

A lot of the images I do take don't necessarily feature the the bride or groom. This is because I try and capture the entire day, including the moments the lovely couples probably wont see. So with this in mind, some images wont feature the bride, groom or either!

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of my lovely couples for trusting me to take beautiful wedding photos for them. I really couldn’t do this without you!
