I took this today's landscape photograph of the week late summer / early autumn last year. And I have to say it is one of my all time favourite Manchester landscapes. One of the reasons for this is because it is one of a handful of colour photographs I have of the city.
I also love the fact that there are so many of Manchesters landmarks sighing within the photograph. Manchester’s Town Hall, the Arndale, the Beetham Tower can all be found if you look, and even though there are very few good vantage points looking into the city, Shudehill is one of the best in my opinion.
The new car park next to the bus station does a great job at giving you the height needed, but it's worth asking the security guards permission first. In this case there had been lovely sunset just to the right of the frame, but the afterglow of the sun created some lovely light as the city fell into twilight.
Hope you like it and as always you can comment if you wish. All my landscape photo’s of the week are available available with 10% off during the 7 days from posting. Just use POTW10 on checkout. Thanks again.
