I have to say I love the Lake District. Always have, from going as a kid for days out and the long walks with my wife before children came along. I think in terms of sheer drama it wins everytime for me, especially when it comes to landscape photography. This particular photograph was taken on a stop off on the way home after a really long day. I'd missed sunset, and the golden hour, but the blue hour light was just gorgeous. Ashness Jetty near Keswick is a favourite location for landscape photographers, but sometimes you just have to try and make the own the location with your take on a very popular landscape photograph.
