Because I don’t photograph more than 10 weddings I don’t tend to market myself as much as I perhaps should do. So it’s always lovely to get a referral, which is exactly where half of my weddings this year came from. Although this one was especially nice as it came from a long term client, who became a good friend. So who was getting married? Adam, Ben’s brother (the husband of my friend) was marrying the loverly Claire at the Plas Hafod Hotel in North Wales.
Aside from the terrible traffic on the M56 on the way down…wow, what a fab day. The weather was kind, they had garden party games, a tandem bicycle which was ridden after the drink had been taken, a barefoot nephew! All sorts.
The perfect couple to photograph
Regardless of what a photographer might encounter, Claire was indeed the perfect bride that day at the Plas Haford Hotel. She was calm and looked absolutely stunning in her dress. Meanwhile, Adam was getting kisses from his brothers!
From bridal prep photography to the evening and first dance, I sought to capture the day as best as possible. Something you will always get from me 110% effort. If I don’t feel like guests ran over me at the end of the day I don’t think I’ve done my job!
Some stunning shots of the couple took place from a distance in the gardens. Then, I just spent the day wandering around searching for guests and those candid moments so I could document Claire and Adam’s day for them.
They also ordered a rather stunning wedding album from me, which I had the pleasure of dropping down to them and it was lovely to see their reaction to the photograph’s first hand.
Happy couple at Plas Hafod Hotel
But all of my words mean nothing. What really matters is what they thought and Claire was kind enough to leave these words on my Facebook page.
“Paul was a fantastic photographer for our wedding. He met with us on a couple of occasions to go over our requirements and ensured everything was in place.
Paul arrived at our wedding, put everyone at ease and produced some beautiful pics. He just blended in and got some wonderfully natural photos as well as the traditional posed pics.
The USB was fab! A lovely box, with low/high Res photos in colour and same in black and white, making sure we had everything we needed.
He then checked with us ensuring the photo album was perfect. He is completely charming and a joy to have at a wedding…
I would recommend Paul to anyone who needs wedding photography.”
